A few months ago, I posted about the pet pee. Mandy’s work is about my greatest discomfort – the missing pieces! I just got a new piece of plastic wrapped in Ravensburger. I realized it was missing two sides. I’m disappointed! I don’t even want to go on. But again, I’m curious. Do people make puzzles if they’re not finished? Do they mind? Would they buy it before they knew it was missing?
I ask the question, and the answer is mixed. It goes down whether you do a riddle for the journey, or the result. Is that an image, or a challenge?
Some of you may disagree with me, but I’m very picky about the puzzle I chose. I don’t need to practice and have so many that I don’t like it if I know there are pieces missing. I am all about the results and the images I create.
When I asked online and read comments, 25 people said they would still do it. Twenty-five said no.
How do you split it?
Many will continue in case it appears. They thought it might cost anything to the end. But my question is especially… If you knew it was missing, would you? Some people have magic numbers. If there were more than three pieces or nine, they wouldn’t be able to do it. Some people don’t mind if it’s a fragment. Some create pieces to fill the void.
On the other hand, there are puzzles like me that don’t feel they’re done without the pieces. Some of these people set them up and needed them to get all the pieces.
On both sides, the image remains the key. If it’s an image someone really loves, they don’t necessarily have to think, but if they are so-so, they will pass.
A fitting requirement is that people tell others if there are missing pieces in the puzzle are used. Honest is the best thing for you to know what you’re doing.
As I said at the beginning of the blog experience, there is no wrong answer. We all solve different puzzles and enjoy different parts of the process. What do you think? Are you okay with being short? Is it about the end or the journey?
